got back from a really nice learning experience with ci last night and thought i'd share.
the info goes something like this:
The Wednesday Dance Jam at Studio 2844
Running every Wednesday for the past seven years
A place for dance improvisation and contact dance
No previous dance training needed
To the beautiful studio at 2844 Dundas St W Starting October 4th
Time:
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm (drop in)
- 6:30 Facilitator leads a short warm up and teaches specific contact
dance move or concept (until about 6:50 pm)
- 7:30 Resident musician begins to play
- 8:25 closing announcement and safety tip.
New- Resident Musician:
Every month of the year a different RESIDENT MUSICIAN will play
starting at 7:30 pm
New- Location:
Studio 2844
2844 Dundas West (third floor)
Take the subway to the Dundas West station and then take the Dundas
West bus (only a few stops) to Keele St
New- Accessibility
The Wednesday Jam is now more accessible
Studio 2844 is a dance studio that is accessible through the stairs or
through a freight elevator at the back of the building.
Please contact dance@kathleenrea.com if you feel that you would like
to use the freight elevator and arrangements can be made.
Entrance fee:
$6 -$9 (sliding scale)
First time attendees receive free entrance!

The Wednesday Jam is a LGBT friendly place to dance and also welcomes
people of all abilities.
the studio itself is very beautiful with very very nice floors to freak out bare footed. i am definitely going again. most of the dancers i met there are really friendly and helpfull and have been attending for at least 2 - 3 years.
