Explore Contact Improvisation through somatic modalities, site specific work and as a performance form. Members of SPAN: Spontaneous Performing Artists Network, a national group of improvising artists, come together in a lab environment to deepen our research into multiple approaches of Contact Improvisation. Located at Wild Meadows Farm and surrounded by 200 acres of secluded mountain ranges and fertile valleys near the Allegheny Mountains, the intensive will provide ample opportunities to nurture, expand and challenge your Contact Improvisation practice. Activities will include classes in Contact Improvisation, improvisational performance, developing site specific approaches, The Feldenkrais Method®, the Bartenieff Fundamentals, Six Viewpoints and Authentic Movement.
